National Drone Safety Awareness Week

The first National Drone Safety Awareness Week will take place November 4 to 10, 2019. All are welcome to participate as UAS users and other stakeholders help to educate the public about operating drones safely. Know Before You Fly is working with the FAA to spread the word about National Drone Safety Awareness Week. We hope you will join us as drone safety is everyone’s responsibility. For more information on what you can do, check out the FAA’s National Drone Safety Awareness Week Stakeholder Playbook or find an interactive map of events in your area on the Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team website.

Apps and Downloads

The FAA, in partnership with Kittyhawk, recently released a new and improved version of the B4UFLY mobile application. The B4UFLY app is an easy to use tool to help recreational drone flyers know where they can and cannot fly with interactive maps. The new app is now available to download for free at the App Store for iOS and Google Play store for Android.

To learn more about the B4UFLY app, visit Kittyhawk’s webpage, the FAA B4UFLY website or watch a video about the app here.
