Student Drone Learning Materials

These drone kits were made available with federal funding and distributed to organizations that support youth education. Kits help teach 9th- through 12th-grade students about science, aerodynamics, engineering principles, aviation principles, safe flying practices and aviation-related careers. Each kit contained all of the necessary components and instructions to assemble a small drone, including goggles for optional first-person-view flying. This page houses resources for using the kits with students.

This video includes step-by-step instructions to assemble the drone, bind it to the transmitter, adjust the video transmission channel on the monitor, change the on-screen display, and an introduction to piloting the drone using the transmitter.
